If you are looking the perfect peanut butter chocolate cookie you’ve found it. These cookies have a fun spin because you can create a “cup” detail along the edges and still have it mixed and out of the oven in ten minutes! This peanut butter cookie only requires four ingredients and creates the perfect party of peanut butter and chocolate.
We have been doing the quarantine thing for three weeks. There is nothing like a warm cookie to bring you the simple comforts of home. What I also love is that it is almost guaranteed that you have the ingredients for these cookies already in your pantry.
Only four Ingredients, make them count
How do we create the perfect four ingredient peanut butter chocolate cup cookies? The quality of those four ingredients definitely changes the texture and overall taste of the cookies. Make sure that you are working with a peanut butter that you love. My favorite no-stir natural peanut butter is actually Walmart’s generic Great Value brand. I have had friends come over and comment on how much they love the peanut butter and are shocked when they learn where it is from. We use the smooth variety because that is what my kids like. Favor a little more crunch? I am sure the crunchy option would be just as delicious in the cookie.
Chocolate chip quality is HUGE in any cookie. We always use Guittard milk chocolate chips in our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. They worked perfectly in this recipe as well. You can typically find them at any grocery store, but if you want to have these shipped they are also available from Amazon in packs of four.
Cupcake Liners are optional, peanut butter is not
You do not have to use muffin tins or liners, however it is a fun way to get the “cup” patter along the side of the cookie. Next time I think I will flatten the dough even more to get more of a cup look all around. They kind of remind me of Jack Jack Cookies from Disneyland in PixarPier.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Cup Cookies
- 1 Cup Peanut Butter I love the Great Value no Stir Natural Peanut Butter
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- .5 Cup Chocolate Chips We love the Guittard brand, but any would work or omit them altogether.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit
- Combine egg, peanut butter, sugar. Stir together until you have a sticky dough with no clumps.
- Add chocolate chips. You can stir in half and then add the other half to the tops of cookies once they are out of the oven and still warm on top.
- Cook at 350 F for 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool and enjoy!
