The best Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

I {almost} feel guilty for posting this recipe today because Cassia posted such a healthy recipe yesterday. Alas, I don’t feel bad enough not to share it with you…

Jackson had the pleasure of being the spotlight in his preschool class last week and was asked to bring his favorite treat in the WHOLE world and to my surprise he insisted that I make my oatmeal cookies! These cookies are amazing and so I willingly obliged. Please do not hate me when you want to eat more than one or five. In fact, it is probably best when you make them to share immediately decreasing the chance of over consumption and belly ache. ENJOY~

The BEST oatmeal chocolate chip cookie ingredients:

* 1 Cup butter or margarine (softened)

* 2 Eggs

* 2 Cups Flour

* 3/4 Cup white sugar

* 3/4 Cup brown sugar

* 1 tsp Vanilla

* 1 tsp baking soda

* 2 tsp cinnamon (best part)

* 1 tsp salt

* 3 Cups quick oats

1 bag of guittard milk chocolate chips (optional)



1. Mix butter and sugars together

2. Add in vanilla, baking soda, eggs, salt, and cinnamon

3. Stir in flour

4. Stir in oats, be patient with this part, the mix gets pretty large. You can also used your hands to help with this part. It gets pretty fun.

5. Add chocolate chips and nuts if desired.

Cook at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-9 minutes.

Makes about three dozen.
