Baby Walker: 17 Weeks

How far along? 17 weeks

Maternity clothes? This is a maternity dress! I am on the hunt for some nice maternity shorts (thanks for all of the facebook help, I will be hunting at Ross very soon!)

Best moment this week: Realizing that it has been almost two weeks that I have had any bleeding!

Sleep: Needing it, loving it, and only interrupted by bathroom visits.

Miss anything? Zumba! I miss shaking, shimmying, and dancing around. While cleaning up the house the other day (while listening to very loud music) I started dancing and Jackson reminded me, “Mom, that probably isn’t good for the baby.” He is always checking in on how I am feeling and remembers me and the baby in every single prayer. He is a sweetheart.

Movement: Every day! The baby is more active at night or after I’ve eaten something surgery.

Food cravings: Olive Garden pretty much always, very cliche but loving the pickles, popsicles  and BBQ foods!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not much! Which is pretty much a miracle.

Have you started to show yet: Yes! The belly definitely popped sooner the third time around!

Gender: We will find out next week! We think it is a boy but are just hoping for a healthy baby!

Concerns: I am still debating whether or not I want to do an epidural or go for a natural childbirth again. My epidural didn’t work well with Jackson’s delivery and I wasn’t prepared to go natural with Jayne but did anyway. Which is better? A labor with an epidural that actually works? Or preparing in all the right ways for a natural birth?

Labor signs: No.

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! Feeling so blessed that this baby is doing well. I feel like no matter what it’s gender it deserves a STRONG name! This baby is a fighter.

Looking forward to: Next week’s appointment. Hoping to see that everything is measuring well and that the placenta looks like it is in good shape. I have heard from other Mom’s who have had a placental tear that their babies come earlier…I just hope that I can carry full term. My doctor seems to not be worried about it, so I am hoping the ultrasound gives us peace of mind.

I haven’t delivered yet, but we decided to go natural with this baby (due any day now) and are using hypnobabies. So far I love it. I have horrific back pain throughout my pregnancies. So bad that there are days that I can barely walk. I also usually get horrible migraines. With hypnobabies I have been able to use the relaxation and hypnosis to completely get rid of the migraines and eliminate most of the back pain. I’ll let you know how it goes with the delivery.ReplyCancel

    • Please tell me all about it! I have the book from my neighbor but have only skimmed through it. Paul isn’t one for blood/labor/pain I don’t know if he would love the whole “coaching” thing, but we’ve done it before unprepared so it can only get better right?

Let me know how it goes! You’re getting really close aren’t you?ReplyCancel
