“Oh the Places You’ll Go” tradition

This is not my idea and you may have seen it floating around Pinterest, but I thought I would share in case you haven’t. (I originally found the idea here.) So the idea is to buy a copy of “Oh the Places You’ll Go” for each child and secretly have all of their teachers sign it and then give it to them on their graduation day. I loved this idea so much because I thought about how awesome it would be to read what my elementary school teachers had to say about me. I had to have a heart-to-heart with my husband before we began this tradition because if we started it we wanted to make sure we followed through for all of our kids. We decided we loved the idea so much that we went ahead and started this year with our oldest son who was in Kindergarten.

We paid a few extra dollars for the Graduation Keepsake Edition that we found at Barnes and Noble. We liked it because it has a place for the parents to write a letter as well.

And it has a cool pocket to keep school pictures, report cards or other special keepsakes in!

Have any of you started this tradition? Or do you do something similar?
