Tropical Mango Protein Smoothie

It is time to get back into the swing of eating healthy and feeling good! I am focusing on my health more than ever and staying hydrated is a big part of that plan. This tropical mango protein smoothie will fulfill any sweet craving you may have and is also full of vitamins, protein, and electrolytes! What? Yes, it is possible and this drink is so good.

Earlier this year I went on a trip to Boston with my husband has he attended a work conference. Even though I still had a baby with me it was so nice to focus on only one child instead of four. I was able to spend some time walking through the old streets of Boston, do some shopping, and listen to the sounds of the harbor. It was absolutely gorgeous! If you ever get a chance to study the history of our nation and experience it with your own eyes I highly suggest that you do.

While I was out shopping I ordered a mango smoothie for myself to enjoy as I window shopped. It was so refreshing and delicious and that is what inspired me to create this recipe today. I wanted to make this smoothie packed with nutrients and one that I could go to and not feel guilty at all recreating those sweet moments I spent in Boston months ago.

As a nursing mother I am always thirsty but I have found that other sport drinks are not always the best option for replacing my electrolytes on a day to day basis because they come with extra calories that I don’t want. I was so exciting when I found Simple Truth because it offers the ability of replacing the extra electrolytes lots without adding all the extra calories. You can drink the flavored water on it’s own to add a little something different to your water consumption or you can mix it into a smoothie to give even more value to your drink. It contains no artificial sweeteners, preservatives or calories. It is a great way to stay hydrated before, during, and after your workout. It is Available in 24 pack and 1 liter bottles and comes in four flavors: Blackberry Blueberry, Lemon, Mandarin Orange and Tropical Mango.

So without further ado here is the recipe. I like to drink this within a half hour of working out to replace electrolytes, fuel my body with protein, and return simple glucose to my bloodstream to give me the extra boost that I need.
