Disney Magic with Disney Social Media Moms Conference at Disneyworld

It sounds cliche to call DisneyWorld the most magical place on earth, but alas, I am going to be that girl and say that it is true. We just returned from a much anticipated vacation as a family with Disney Social Media Moms, and I am still in awe of the memories we were able to create. As a partner of Disney I was able to learn so much and I cannot wait to share it all with you.

Disney Social Media Moms

Working with Disney has always been a dream of mine, a bucket list item, and a milestone I hoped I would one day come true. My husband and I both grew up never having really experienced Disneyland/DisneyWorld, and after going the first time with our own little family made it a goal to be able to go with our children when they are still small as much as possible. I have shared tips and advice on how to save on your trip to Disney and we try our best to scrimp and save throughout the year so we can go.

So it is no exaggeration when I say that when I got the email invitation I screamed like a 60’s fan girl at a Beatles concert on her birthday. This conference opened up the opportunity for us to experience a Disney Cruise for the first time! I called my husband right away and he professed this has made all my six years of blogging worth it. lol.

We kept this secret from our kids for months, which was AGONY for me. I knew at Christmas and still we did not tell them. We waited until the day of the trip to let them in on the secret we had been keeping for so long. I even had to hide our American Tourister Luggage and Itinerary that had been sent to us months and weeks in advance and I thought for sure my oldest would catch on that I was hiding something.

The kids thought we were heading to our family cabin and just before leaving I asked my son to check the mail one last time before we left. He came in with two long boxes and when we opened them up we found our magic bands. They were confused at first and asked what they were for. It went a little something like this:

Me: “Hey! Do you know what these are?”

Jackson, “uuuuh no. Are they for Disneyland?”

Me: “Yes, well, they are for DisneyWorld! How about we skip the cabin and go to DisneyWorld today!”

He didn’t believe me at first. Jayne started to cry. Jett was ecstatic.

In there defense, we haven’t been to the cabin in a long time, but this was DISNEYWORLD! Then this happend, “And we are going on a DISNEY CRUISE!”

Jackson, “NO WAY!”

Jayne, still crying.

Jett, now jumping up and down.

Disney Magic, Surprising kids with Disneyworld

The reality started to kick in and by the time we made it to the airport all three were grinning ear to ear. We decided to leave our baby at home, and while that was a hard decision it was absolutely the right choice. I have taken babies to Disney before, I even have posts to help you be able to do so, but I knew this trip would be at a much faster pace and it would be really hard to keep him happy and rested.

This trip wasn’t only opening up the opportunity for us to be able to afford to go, but we were also invited to attend some special events with a private group of bloggers that really felt like a Cinderella moment.

The Disney Social Media Moms Conference actually opens up the opportunity for me to get some behind the scenes sneak peeks about what is coming next for Disney in attractions, film, and destination vacations. And because it’s Disney, learning about the up and coming always comes with a rather large dose of magic.

This is my first year that we’ve been invited to attend as a family and we had some once in a lifetime experiences that I will never forget. What is even more exciting is that I get to share all of these up and coming attractions and events with YOU. So I hope you’re excited because there is so much to share. I will be doing a new series on the blog for the next little bit called Disney Day: up and coming so I can share with you the new things that are happening.

Staying at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort was fantastic, we had two shared rooms that allowed us to have enough room for our family of five and even a little privacy for us as a couple at night. We loved the shuttle buses, the swimming pool, and the amazing restaurants right on site. Our very first day we enjoyed the most incredible meal from Sanaa, the restaurant right on Magic Kingdoms campus.  That night I was able to experience a private event with a small group of bloggers. We were whisked away in our own “Minnie Vans” that are now available through Disneyworld using the Lyft app.

We were taken to a special dinner hosted by Catering Chef de Cuisine of Disney’s Contemporary Resort Chef Frank E Brough. We were escorted through an elaborate kitchen, ushered through a walk through refrigerator which opened up to an elaborate dinning room area. We were able to partake of the most incredible dishes and each dish was paired with a specific wine. (I do not drink, but everyone that tried the pairings were blown away.) We had sushi, hand made pastas, steak, cheese, and the most delectable stacked potatoes you can imagine. You can actually schedule a private dinner experience like this during the food and wine festival, so make sure that you keep your eye out for these special dates as they only happen once a year on the Disney Parks Blog.

Disneysmmc, disney magic

As if the night couldn’t get any better, we were taken on the Disney Grand 1 Yacht to enjoy the Magic Kingdom Happily Ever After fireworks show from the water! The yacht was equipped with the most incredible desserts, a cozy blanket for snuggling under the stars, and magical music as we enjoyed the fireworks from above.

Disney Yacht I have always loved fireworks, and watching fireworks from a yacht brought the magic to an entirely different level. This actually reminded me of what it would be like to be on the Bachelor! You could easily wow someone with a special trip on the ocean and enjoying a trip on the sea with the magic of Disney.

The next day the entire family was invited to go on a private tour around Magic Kingdom to enjoy all the Disney Classics rides. We were taken from ride to ride, not having to wait in any lines, and treated to a super yummy treat at Gaston’s tavern. This was our first experience with the tea cups, magic carpet ride, the haunted mansion, and the dumbo ride. My kids loved not having to wait in line and I loved seeing the delight in their faces enjoying the park in the best way possible. You can book your own private tour too!

This would be a really special way to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, or graduation! You can read more about private tour service options available here, depending on the ages of your kids this can definitely help you bust through a ton of rides without having to wait in any lines. Also, if you have older kids you can look at the Thriller package that crosses over 3 parks, Taste of Africa, or doing the ropes course with the crocodiles!

Stay tuned for new Disney Magic headed your way!
