Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, so I thought I would share a few easy and fun activities to do with your kids on that day.
Last year we started our Valentine’s Day with breakfast. We had red waffles, and fruit cut with heart cookie cutters.
Oh, and strawberry milk, of course. They thought it was an awesome treat!
I was stressing myself out last year thinking of foods that are red that I could feed my kids. I ended up finding a pack of heart shaped cookie cutters in various sizes. They worked great in turning a regular lunch into something special.
Heart shaped peanut butter sandwich, heart shaped cheese and red fruit.
We also made Valentine’s Day crowns. I had a white poster board that I cut into long strips, measured it on their heads and then they decorated them with foam stickers and pipe cleaners.
We made these lovely treats to pass out to our friends and neighbors. They are seriously so easy to make and they look pretty and they taste good! A treat can’t get much better than that!
All you need is Hershey’s hugs, Valentine’s M&Ms, square pretzels, and parchment paper.
Heat your oven to 200*, add some parchment paper to a cookie sheet, spread out the pretzels and then add the hugs on top. Put them in your heated oven for 5 minutes. You don’t want to keep them in too long. The hugs will still have their shape, but they will be soft, so when you put the M&M on top it will flatten out.
