Natural Cleaning Tips & DIY Spring Cleaners Made From Scratch

Spring cleaning is here! These DIY spring cleaners made from scratch are easy to put together and will not only save you money, but also help know exactly what is going in to your cleaning products.

A lot of these recipes call for similar products that can be used again and again in different ways, that will give you a powerful clean. Countertop Spray:

1 Cup water

2 Tbsp. White Vinegar

½ Tsp Lemon Juice

6 drops Lavender Essential Oil

5 drops Lemon Essential Oil

2 drops

 

Combine all ingredients into spray bottle. Spray mixture onto surface and wipe up with Bounty Quick-Size Paper Towels.

 

Glass Cleaner:

 

½ Cup Water

½ Cup Vinegar

2 Drops Liquid Soap

3 Drops Lemon Essential Oil

3 Drops Litsea Essential Oil

 

Bathroom Cleaner:

1 Cup White Vinegar

2 Tbsp. Baking Soda

½ Cup Lemon Juice

¼ Cup liquid Dish Soap

1 ¼ Cup Water

6 Drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

4 Drops Lavender Essential Oil

 

Combine White Vinegar and Baking Soda first. Once reaction has settled add the remaining ingredients.

 

Stain Remover:

 

Granite Cleaner:

3 Tbsp. Rubbing Alcohol

2 Cups Water

½ Tsp. Castile Soap

 

Combine rubbing alcohol, water, and castile soap in a spray bottle. Spray surface, wipe clean, and then go over surface again to make it nice and shiny!

 

Natural Dusting Spray:

 

¼ Cup Vinegar

¼ Cup Water

2 Tbsp. Olive Oil

10 drops Lemon Essential Oil

 

Combine all ingredients into a spray bottle. Wipe down with a Bounty Quick-Size Paper Towel.

 

Natural stovetop Degreaser:

 

Baking Soda

Water

 

When I make this solution, I like to sprinkle the baking soda first and then drop the water over the area to make a thick paste. I will let the solution sit for a couple of hours and then I will scrub the area with a warm cloth. I have even let it sit overnight to let it work its magic, but I don’t think that it is absolutely necessary to get you the result you are looking for.
