My husband and I have recently tried new ways of eating which includes trying to eat the Keto way. Eating the Keto diet means you are training your body to burn protein/fat for energy rather than sugar/starch. The process makes your body eventually burn your own stored fat for energy all the while eating foods that are high in protein and fat and low in carbs. Keep in mind, this does take a while for your body to get used to, but once your body is in ketosis you will feel ready to take on the world.
My husband lost 16 lbs in his first two weeks of trying this diet and loves it!
It is important to incorporate the right kind of fats in your diet like avocado, extra virgin olive oil, coconut, and other high quality fats. I was skeptical about this diet, but it seems to work really well once you get the hang of it. Search Keto on the blog for more low carb options!
We recently shared this on my cooking show – The Horlacher and Walker Cooking show. You can see this cooked here:
Also we wanted to share some of our favorite keto products:
- 1 C cottage cheese
- 2 T avocado oil
- 3 eggs
- 6 T almond flour
- Blend ingredients & pan fry!
