I often wish I could watch my life, as if it were a movie.
No doubt, it would be a beautiful, painful, exhilarating, emotional and intense experience. I think we don’t give ourselves enough credit, for just living. Living is hard, and living around other people that are trying to live, is hard. We are all in this thing called – life – together. We have weaknesses, strengths and random quirky “things” that make us who we are. We all struggle with some things and excel, in others. And in the midst of all of these variables, the most important thing is, always will be, and has been – love.
Love gets us through things we never imagined possible. I believe there is a Christ that knows us, and loves us. He sees things about our soul, that nobody else ever could. He laughs with us when we laugh, hurts for us and when we feel pain, and above all, is non-judgmental. He has endless and unconditional love, for every single spirit. This is Jesus Christ. Without him, I wouldn’t have an understanding of what progression looks like. Without Jesus Christ, I wonder if I’d find the courage to try again when I’ve failed, or reach out to others and have compassion when they have wronged me, or those I love.
This time of year brings so much beauty. I remember, as a child, always loving the sparkle of Spring that sprung up all around my house in the woods. Little wild flowers poked their sleepy heads up through the blanket of crunchy Fall leaves. Birds seemed to waken and warm up their hoarse voices, from being hushed during the long winter. The deer tip toed from their special hiding places and the creek sounded as though it had so much to tell us, after a long winter of holding it all in. The several feet of over protective snow, began retreating into the soil and once again – a new cycle of life began.
What a fitting time of year to renew our growth. To review the movie of our life, in our minds, with a Christ like love, acceptance and understanding that we are perfect, just the way we are. With an understanding, that we are exactly where we should be – no matter what that may look like. We are on our journey and nobody else’s. We are learning what we need to learn, and so is everyone else. There is a peace in this thought, that has brought me through hard times. We all feel down and discouraged, sometimes – and that’s okay.
Happy Easter, my friends. Let’s give ourselves the gift of love. Let’s have a renewed growth and positive energy that will bless. I know these things to be true. I also know that there is so much I don’t know – and that someday, the things that are unclear to me know, will seem so apparent and simple. For this reason, I focus on what I do know. I know that family is the most important thing on earth and that I’ll do anything to fight for my family – and to support other parents around me – so they can too. I believe we have Heavenly parents that love us – because we are their children. I understand this more now, than ever before. There is no greater love.
Have a beautiful weekend!
