OPERATION UNDERGROUND RAILROAD is dedicated to ending child sex trafficking and shining a light on this worldwide epidemic. On this giving Tuesday consider contributing to the funds that are being gathered to help support the heroes going into dark places that are holding children captive against their will.
I first learned of Operation Underground Railroad about three years ago. I was shocked to learn how real and ALIVE slavery still is. America’s history has always fascinated me and it is shocking to me how long it took for us to end slavery here. When I learned that slavery still exists in a very REAL and even worse way I wanted to do anything I could to help raise awareness for this noble cause.
O.U.R. has been designed to help children escape from scenarios in which they are being used for sex, labor, abuse, and even organ donation. Even typing those words I shudder in disgust that this actually exists. Evil people that live in this world TODAY are kidnapping and in some cases posing as orphanages to use these children for their benefit. Tim Ballard, a retired CIA agent, gave up his career and everything he had to pursue saving these children by creating Operation Underground Railroad.
Through funds made through donations he and his teams enter into countries where these children are being hidden. You can actually watch live footage of them taking down one of the main leaders of trafficking in the documentary that you can watch here.
These rescue missions are not just taking place all over the world, they are happening right here in the United States, too. Each operation is handled with care and a lot of prayer. I have heard stories personally from Tim Ballard that sent chills up my spine when I learned of how they were directed to these children by forces unseen. I really believe God has a hand in helping these children and their rescue. The children that are saved are not turned away, they are given professional care through therapy and learning valuable skills to help them live a successful life. There are people in place that are specifically tending to these girls and the needs they have now that they have escaped their worst nightmare.I hope you will consider donating to this wonderful cause. It is hard to face the reality of it, but it needs to be done. Thank you so much for reading this post and considering a donation to this amazing organization.
