5 desserts that won’t throw you off track

When your sweet tooth attacks it’s nice to have a few options that are both delicious and tempting, but something that isn’t going to ruin your whole day by ruining your fitness goals. Before you sit down with a big bowl of ice cream or chocolate cake (or both!) check out this list of some of my favorite sweet treats that satisfy my cravings in a healthy way.

 

1. Homemade popsicles

Use your favorite 100% juice and any fruit you would like to make your own homemade popsicles. You can find molds at the store or simply put everything in a paper cup and freeze.

 

2. Fruit kabobs

Chop some of your favorite fruits and stick them on a kabob skewer. I don’t know why, but everything tastes a little bit better as a kabob. Try dipping the fruit in a homemade yogurt dip or drizzle lightly with some melted chocolate chips.

 

3. Chocolate covered strawberries

Melt some dark chocolate and dip some freshly washed strawberries. You can either wait for the chocolate to get firm or you can eat them while the chocolate is still a little warm.

 

4. Angel Food Cake

As far as cake goes, angel food cake is relatively low in calories. If you are craving cake or other baked goods this light and delicious one is the way to go. You can also add antioxidants and fiber by topping with berries or even a drizzle of melted dark chocolate.

 

5. Fiber One Cheesecake bars

If you’re craving cheesecake or something rich and creamy Fiber One cheesecake bars are perfect! They are a guilt free way to enjoy something decadent.
