I love Downeast Home!

Oh, how I love Pottery Barn Kids! The prices are a little ridiculous, though, so of course, I was super stoked to find DownEast Home Decor! They can’t legally tell you where they buy their merchandise from, but I’m 99% sure it’s Pottery Barn’s second-hand store.  Most everything is 65-75% off PB’s regular prices, and here are some of my favorites. First, these stockings (picture below) at Pottery Barn Kids right now are $29 a piece with out the names on them. If you have want them to monogram them for you, it costs an additional $7. I got these nearly identical stockings with some other random names on them for $2.50 then had my “bff’s” mom monogram my kids’ names on them. She charged me $15 for all of them! Okay, I’m sure this is a bff’s discount, but my point is, there are less expensive ways to get virtually the same thing that you would pay lots more for just because it’s Pottery Barn!  So, in this case, instead of paying $180, I spent $27.50. Are you kidding me?!! Even without a bff’s discount, it would be tremendously less-expensive for anyone to do what I did rather than the PB alternative. When I save money I get soooo excited!!! Can you tell? 🙂

Another favorite of mine is this adorable “doggy” sleeping bag. Yes, Tessa sleeps on the floor in her brother’s room. They just love having sleepovers! I got this Potterybarn sleeping bag for $15. Just the other day I walked into Potterybarnkids at Trolley Square and saw the exact same sleeping bag for $80. Yes, it has someone else name on it, but for that price Tessa can be Maya without a fuss!!

If you’re lucky, you can even find merchandise with your kids name already on it! This pillow was $3. Cha-chiiing!

The anywhere-chair is a staple at PotteryBarnkids. They range anywhere from $99-$139, and this chair currently sells for $119.  I got this chair for $30! Booooya!

Potterybarnkids is also known for their adorable backpacks, ranging in price from $29-$59.  I also had my BFFs mommy monogram the two smaller back packs, so instead of paying $36 a-piece, I paid $10. I got lucky with the Batman back pack which already had my little guy’s name on it. I got this one on sale for $4.

I am crazy about this bed! I grew up with a daybed, and I knew I wanted one for my little girls. I had been keeping my eye out for one for a long time, but this one at Potterybarn was close to $2,000. I got this bed on clearance at Downeast for $200, no joke!  That also included the trundle bed underneath.

For those of you who know my little stud Jacob, you’d know that he is OBSESSED with airplanes and helicopters. This mobile I’d wanted for a over a year at Potterybarn, but I just couldn’t stomach the $125 price tag.  So, lo and behold, they had one that had barely been broken in at Downeast for $25.  Oh yeah! I snatched it up as fast as I could, and now he is in heaven every time he goes in his room, except when I send him there for being bad!

Those stockings did turn out perfect! I am so jealous of your bed for Tessa. I will be on the lookout for one like that for Jayne when she upgrades to a big girl bed!ReplyCancel
