This 4th of july centerpiece is so easy and fun to make! If you are looking for a super fast centerpiece idea for your 4th of July party or Memorial Day, this is the perfect one! This one only took me a few minutes and you only need a few things to make it.
Items needed to make centerpiece:
- three jars
- 9 cups of rice
- red and blue food coloring
- rubbing alcohol
- Black self adhesive letters
- pinwheels
Directions:
Divide the rice into thirds (2 cups each). Add 10-12 drops of red food coloring and 1 teaspoon of rubbing alcohol to a tupperware container with a lid. Add the lid and shake the container until all the rice is red. Spread out on a tray to dry. Repeat steps to make the blue rice. Dry for about an hour. Add the rice to clean and dry jars. Start with two cups of red rice in each jar, then layer with two cups of white rice and then 2 cups of blue rice. Stick pinwheels into the rice and add self adhesive letters on the outside of the jars. If you don’t have pinwheels you can add mini flags or any other red, white and blue decor on a stick. Also, you could add vinyl letters to the jars instead of the self adhesive letters. Add your patriotic centerpiece to your food table or wherever you want to display them.
