Easy tater tot casserole

This cheesy and oh so easy tater tot casserole is a family favorite that is simple to make. Easily adjust this recipe to fit your family's style and taste.

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 10 3/4 ounce cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 1/2 cups mixed frozen vegetables carrots, peas, corn and green beans
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 32 oz bag of frozen tater tots
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Add ground beef and diced onion to a large skillet over medium high heat, season with a sprinkle of salt and pepper and cook and stir until beef is no longer pink. Drain, if needed.
  • Return to heat and add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce, both cans of cream of mushroom soup and frozen vegetables. Stir to combine and warm for 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour beef and vegetable mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and then layer tater tots to the top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until tater tots are golden and crispy.
