Aloe Lip Scrub

Prep Time 5 minutes
Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp aloe leaf bottled aloe vera works too

Optional:

  • 2 drops food coloring

Instructions

  • Cut a 1 inch section of the aloe leaf.
Slice off the skin, leaving the gel.
Use a fork to mush up the gel and break it apart.
Dip a toothpick into food coloring and mix it around the coconut oil.
Add all 3 ingredients to a mixing bowl.
Stir until combined and is the consistency of very wet sand.
Add mixture into a container with a tight-fitting lid.
To use: Using clean hands, wet lips and take out a nickel size amount of scrub and add a drop or two of water. Gently rub mixture on lips in a circular motion for 30 seconds. Wipe off with a warm washcloth.
  • In a small bowl, combine the sugar and coconut oil until it's a paste-like consistency. Then add in the aloe vera juice or freshly cut slices of an aloe leaf and mix everything together until it's nice and smooth. Finally, add as much or as little food coloring as you desire – it's completely optional!
Once your scrub is ready, massage it onto your lips in a circular motion. Be sure to use gentle pressure so you don't damage the delicate skin on your lips. Leave the scrub on for about 3-5 minutes or until you feel like most of the sugar has dissolved before rinsing off with warm water.
You'll be left with perfectly kissable soft and smooth lips that will last all day long! Enjoy - and don't forget to show off those gorgeous pouty lips!
