Ingredients

  • 2 cups Salted Butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar divided
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, combine the butter and ¾ cup of powdered sugar. Beat until smooth.
  • Add flour and use a fork to combine.
  • Once the mixture starts to get crumbly, switch to your hands and knead until you can form a large dough ball.
  • Sprinkle a surface covered with parchment or wax paper with some of the remaining powdered sugar.
  • Place the ball of dough on the powdered surface. Dust the rolling pin liberally with the powdered sugar. Roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thick.
  • Using a 3 inch cookie cutter, cut our as many cookies as possible.
  • Carefully place cut out cookies on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes until the cookies are a light golden brown on the edges. Do not over bake!
  • Allow to cool on a ride cooking rack.
