- 2 cups Salted Butter softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar divided
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
In a large bowl, combine the butter and ¾ cup of powdered sugar. Beat until smooth.
Add flour and use a fork to combine.
Once the mixture starts to get crumbly, switch to your hands and knead until you can form a large dough ball.
Sprinkle a surface covered with parchment or wax paper with some of the remaining powdered sugar.
Place the ball of dough on the powdered surface. Dust the rolling pin liberally with the powdered sugar. Roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thick.
Using a 3 inch cookie cutter, cut our as many cookies as possible.
Carefully place cut out cookies on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
Bake 10-12 minutes until the cookies are a light golden brown on the edges. Do not over bake!
Allow to cool on a ride cooking rack.
