Creamy Chicken Italiana

This is a super easy slow cooker meal that only takes 3-4 hours on low! It’s fast, creamy, and so good! Even our pickiest eater thought this one was great. Oh, and it will make your house smell amazing! This is a winner all around. If you aren’t a fan of cream of chicken soup I will be posting my easy peasy homemade version soon!

Creamy Chicken Italiana
1 (8oz.) package cream cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1  cup Italian dressing
2 large clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 onion; chopped
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 lbs)
salt and pepper
1 lb fresh broccoli; chopped
1 cup fresh mushrooms; sliced
1 box pasta (we used whole grain spaghetti)

Combine cream cheese, soup, dressing, garlic, Italian seasoning and onion in the crock pot, leave for 10 minutes on low to soften the cream cheese. Whisk until smooth. Place chicken on top of soup mixture and season chicken all over with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 hours on low. Remove chicken breasts to a plate. Shred chicken meat with a fork. Return chicken to the crock pot. Add broccoli and fresh mushrooms. Turn heat to high and cook 1/2 hour longer. Set a pot of water to boil and cook pasta. Serve creamy chicken over cooked pasta. Sprinkle with paprika or fresh parsley.

Serves 6.
