If you’ve ever read the book Go, Dog. Go! you know that there is a dog that wears different hats and asks her friend if he likes them. The friend always says no that he doesn’t like the hat (my kids always complain how mean that dog is) until she wears a crazy party hat and then her friend lets her know that he loves it.
To make your own Go, Dog. Go! Party hat cut a strip of poster board and measure it to your kid’s head. We made Hanna’s hat tall because that made it a little crazier. Then my daughter colored all over the poster board strip and then we glued and stapled all sorts of random things to it. We used pom poms, beads, pipe cleaners, feathers and stamps. The best part of making a crazy party hat is you can add whatever you want to it because the crazier it looks, the better! I was actually urging Hannah to add more craziness to hers, but she liked a more clean look to hers and that’s okay too.
Don’t forget to start or finish your project by reading Go, Dog. Go!
