We are brown rice eaters in my family. My kids didn’t even know there was such thing as white rice until we ate out once. It’s just my preference, so it’s what I make and what I have on hand. Brown rice can take a long time on the stove top or even in a rice maker so I love that I have found the perfect way to make brown rice that doesn’t take a long time! Because let’s be honest, I usually forget to make the rice until it’s almost dinner time. Thank you Instant Pot, I love you. Instant Pot brown rice
Ingredients
- 1 cup long grain brown rice
- 1 1/4 cups water
Instructions
- Add rice and water to Instant Pot.Set Instant Pot on manual high heat for 22 minutes.When cooking time is done allow your Instant Pot to naturally release for 10 minutes. Then release the remaining pressure and fluff rice with a fork.
I have doubled this recipe and even tripled this recipe and have had perfectly cooked rice each time.
