This Cauliflower Cream Sauce is a dish we love to eat every Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can use this sauce on other vegetables too. I use it in place of gravy. We like to serve this dish for all of our special get togethers and this recipe has now been requested not only at my husband’s family get togethers, but my family get togethers as well.
Cauliflower and Cream Sauce
This Cauliflower Cream Sauce is a dish we love to eat every Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can use this sauce on other vegetables too. I use it in place of gravy.
- 1 stick butter I use salted, but you could use unsalted
- 4 tbsp flour
- 2 C milk
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 2 C Sour Cream
- 1 head cauliflower
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until frothy. Stir in flour, heat until well blended. Blend milk and seasoned salt and garlic salt into mixture. Simmer and stir over low heat until thickened and smooth. Remove from heat. Add sour cream all at once and blend.
Heat sauce to serving temperature over the stove or in a crock pot.
You can serve this sauce with cauliflower, asparagus, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, or potatoes. I like to use this sauce in place of gravy when I am eating our traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
