This is a traditional dish to celebrate St. Louis greens! You will love this taste of the mid-west. Pair it with some Mac and Cheese and some Wings and you are set for your next family celebration.

St. Louis Style Greens
Ingredients
- 3 bunches collard
- 3 bunches mustard
- 3 bunches turnip
- 3 bunches should equal about a grocery sack full - these can also be substituted for other greens such as spinach
- red pepper flakes
- 4 T vegetable oil
- 1/4 C sugar
- garlic salt
- black pepper.
Instructions
- Wash, remove all stems, wash again.
- In a large pot fill with an inch of water, add red pepper flakes, 4 T vegetable oil, 1/4 C sugar, garlic salt, black pepper. Bring to boil, lower heat. Add all the greens, yes those three bags. Boil till cooked. (check after 20 mins) Taste & re-season.
