Never Miss a Moment with Images captured through Video: Lumix G7

As a mother I am juggling through multiple tasks whether it be preparing lunch and holding my child on my hip or washing the bathroom while my children play in the tub. Sometimes  Almost always I wish I had another set of hands to get me through the day and help my children with everything they need and still have enough time to tackle the ever growing pile of laundry. If you are looking for tips to take pictures of your active kids this post would definitely help you.

Capturing kids in their natural environment always makes the picture feel a little more natural. I love NOT having to say “smile for the camera” because my kids will always give me a strained smile with clenched teeth that looks anything but natural. Sometimes the faces that they make when we’re not expecting anything turn out to be the very best!

One of the times that I wish I had a pair of extra hands the most is when I am trying to capture a moment through the lens of my camera. I want the live action of video but I also love the option of being able to have a still image for that perfect memory that I want to capture in a still frame forever.

Take for example that moment your daughter is blowing out the candles of her birthday cake and you want video of everyone singing but you also want that “money shot” of the moment she blows out the candles. With capturing photos from your video footage you never have to pick again and you know you wont miss that special moment because you can scroll back frame by frame and pick just the right moment to save.
