Last week our theme for preschool was dogs. I’m trying to keep things pretty simple because I don’t want to get burned out and I still want everything to be fun.
We’ve been trying to fit in a letter of the day because my daughter thinks it is so fun. It’s kind of a cool way to learn letters.
For the dog we first traced a letter D on white paper. You can trace it on construction paper of whatever color you want your dog, but I like to have my daughter color hers how she wants. It includes her in the process a little more and it lets her make it however she wants.
She chose to paint her dog brown, so I set her up with the supplies and let her go for it.
When the paint is dry cut the letter out and glue it to a construction paper color of your choice. Add a googly eye, nose (we used a pom pom), mouth, collar and ear (we used felt for the ear, but you can also use paper).
