These Au Gratin potatoes were so creamy, cheesy and delicious. These taste great with ham and steak, but really they are the perfect side dish for whatever you are serving. This is also the easiest way I have ever found to make au gratin potatoes. I have tried the recipes where you layer the potatoes and cheese, but this one you mix everything together and then dump it in your baking dish. Not only was there a lot less prep time, but I feel like this way made the potatoes cook faster and more evenly. I will be making these potatoes again and again and I know I won’t hear any complaints from my family.

Can you prep and then refrigerate for a few hours before baking? Thanks!
April, I’ve never tried it, but I think if you covered them in the fridge for a few hours they would turn out just fine.
Made these, very easy, and delicious!!!
These are soooo easy, and very delicious! These are now my go-to scalloped potatoes!!
First time review. I made this dish tonight. I followed the recipe, just added some broil time after it was done. I’m not a good cook. These potatoes were sooo delicious. I used Idaho Golden potatoes. Lucious, creamy potatoes. I will make it again.
Yay! I am so glad you loved them!
I was wondering if you could make this up the night before than but in oven next day
Absolutely. You may need to adjust the cook time for an extra 15-20 minutes if it isn’t room temperature.
If I need to make a lot like double or triple do I need to extend cook times
Can you use canned sliced potatoes in place of regular potatoes?
Absolutely!
