Easy Waves Hair Tutorial

I am excited to share with you how to achieve this easy, loose waves look as we head into Spring and Summer! I will do my best to share with you the products I used and how you can achieve this look easily on your own! I am so looking forward to days spent at the park or on the beach with the kids and this is a hairstyle that you can easily touch up the next day so it doesn’t take too much maintenance and looks effortless and beautiful on you!

First to start with the products I used: I teamed up with Suave Professionals and their new Sea Mineral Infusion line because I wanted to show you an easy, loose look and one that would stay in place all day long. I love the scent of this hair care line as it is not too flowery or coconut smelling, and it really adds a boost to the body of your hair as well.

I started with washing my hair with Suave Professionals® Sea Mineral Infusion Moisturizing Buoyant Body Shampoo and Conditioner. I was very happy with the scent as it was very fresh and not to coconut-y smelling. It also wasn’t an overly flowery smell either, so it will easily be one my husband likes it too!

Once towel dried I applied  Suave Professionals® Sea Mineral Infusion Texturizing Sea Salt Spray to add some texture and grab to my hair as I dried/styled it.

You will also need:

1 and 1/4 curling iron~ Hot tools is one of my favorite, but I am using Conair here

blow dryer

comb/brush~ This wet hair hairbrush has changed my life

Hair Spray

 

After drying your hair you will want to separate your hair into sections so you can curl your hair more easily and not miss any pieces.

Prep hair by running the curling iron over the hair to smooth out the piece of hair, and prep with a light spray of hair spray. I like to add some anti-snap or heat protector to my hair as well so prevent from heat damage.

With a 1″ piece of hair position curling iron so that your hair is being curled AWAY from your face. You also want to make sure to keep your curling iron pointing up and down to achieve this look.

Make sure that you grab your hair closer to the scalp and move the curling iron down and you curl the hair but leave out 1-3″ out of the curling iron to make it look more natural and relaxed.

Continue this process with the next section of hair and do not tug at the curled hair. Simply spray with a light coat of hair spray as you work your way through the rest of your hair.

Finally, tease your hair and spray with a comb and finish with hair spray. I also like to add a little jet of cool air to the hairspray to set the hair more quickly.

Loosen curls and add a final spray of Suave Professionals® Sea Mineral Infusion Texturizing Sea Salt Spray and hair spray

Obviously I did not take pictures of myself while in the shower, but I did want to share with you that I love the NEW Suave® Professionals Sea Mineral Infusion Exfoliating Body Wash.
