Christian Siriano Styles For Play Dates to a Date Night Out

Let’s face it, play dates are much easier to plan than date nights. A lot of times I am so busy running the kids around that I forget to plan some romantic time for me and my husband. So it has been a goal of mine to plan more days out with the kids and more dates for me and my husband. One way that I’ve been able to manage this a little more is to schedule a date night out a couple weeks in advance. It may seem a little ridiculous to plan that far ahead, but if you don’t, a lot of times it just wont happen.

I have been loving this mild winter we’ve been having in Utah! It has allowed me to be able to wear heels on days that I would typically need to be wearing boots. Don’t get me wrong, I love wearing boots, but I have found that sometimes it is fun to dress up a pair of jeans if I am meeting some girlfriends for lunch and a play date. Just a little change with the shoes you’re wearing can make a huge difference, and there is nothing wrong with kicking off the heels to run around on the grass and then put them back on later.

Recently I was going to a play date with some friends and knew I wouldn’t have much time to swing by home to make a quick outfit change for a date night out with the hubby. No problem! I just slipped on these shoes and a cozy shirt and I was good to go for a quick wardrobe change for later.

Jett has just learned to walk and he is on the go! He doesn’t want to stop for a second. He doesn’t typically march around without shoes on, but unfortunately we forgot to bring them in the car this day! Whoops, real life parenting moments I guess! He is now saying, “Hi Da!” when his Dad comes home from work, throwing a ball like a champ, and cutting his first molars. My favorite part of this stage is his curiosity. He wants to explore everything, and while this can make for some major messes through the day I love watching his face as he touches new textures for the first time, or discovers the sound a pan makes while hitting it.
