Happy October everyone! Can you believe it’s already Autumn and a new month is upon us!? The years seem to be going faster and I wish there was some way to slow them down a bit. *sigh*
Well, I am so excited to introduce you to a fun new series I’m going to start today and run for the whole month of October. It’s 31 Days of Slow Cooker recipes! Every day I will share a new, delicious, tried-and-true slow cooker recipe. I will find the best of the best recipes to share and give you tips and tricks to make the most of your Crock Pot. Oh, and you won’t get 31 soup recipes or 31 beef recipes either, I will be trying chicken, soups, desserts, and side dishes. I’ll even add traditional favorites like pot roast and pulled pork. There will be a good variety of recipes to choose from. I know you will love this! (That’s what I keep telling my family too.)
So to start out this series I am sharing turkey chili. This recipe was so incredibly easy and it tasted amazing. Brown some ground turkey (or lean ground beef, if you would prefer), chop a few veggies and then dump those with a few more things in the Crock Pot and go about your day. It’s the perfect recipe for a chilly fall day. Eat a big bowl of it with some perfect corn bread muffins or use it on top of hot dogs or baked potatoes. Either way, it’s amazing chili!
By the way, I kept this pretty mild for my children, add a jalapeno or two if you would like it spicier.
