Meet Camille

Camille Walker

I just want to start by thanking you for being here and for supporting My Mommy Style, this blog began as a fun idea I had to enrich my life as a Mother and share the things I learned along the way and I am beyond thrilled that I have been able to share this journey with Melissa (my cousin.)

If we met I would probably shock you by talking like we had known each other for years. I still surprise my husband often when I strike up a conversation with someone that my husband is sure I know only to find out later that we had just met. I love meeting new people but I also love the company of my dearest, oldest friends. I am an Aquarius. I am very active and love to snowboard, wakeboard, run, workout, hike, or just chase my kids around the house. I love to plan a party and bring people together, but as I am the youngest of my family I find that I also need recharging time all on my own and can veg through a full season of something fabulous on Netflix.

I am a bargain hunter, a DIYer, a Harry Potter lover, I enjoy fashion but I don’t obsess over it. I have been doing my makeup the same way most of my life and am just now learning how to shape my eyebrows or wear concealer. I try not to sweat the small stuff and watch organizing videos just for fun. I love music and find that to be one of the best cures for a blue day. I love to decorate and move things around in my house over and over again. By accident I discovered that natural labor was the way I preferred to deliver my babies and I hope one day to be a doula.

I have been married now for 12 years and find my happiest moments shared with my little people and my sweet husband. I am living the dream I always imagined when I was a little girl, but trust me when I say that I have a lot of imperfect days, sleepless nights, and top knot, greasy hair days.

I am a certified teacher in Family and Consumer Sciences Education, spent 6 years as a mortgage broker, but I knew that when my children came along I wanted to spend my days at home with them. The ability to share with you what I know and am learning along the way via {this blog} has been one of the greatest blessings ever. I love to hear from you and answer any questions that you may have!

We have four children: Jackson, Jayne, Jett, and Jensen. Motherhood has challenged me and fulfilled me in more ways than I could possible list. It is the lifeblood of who I am. With that said I find it is so essential to find time for myself as a mother and do things that enrich me as a person. I think too often we as mothers nit-pick at ourselves wondering what we are doing wrong or why another mother is so much better…This is abusive thinking that we inflict upon ourselves and has no place in your life. Embracing who you are as a mother is what our blog is all about. Every mother has their own “style” or way of doing things and that is perfectly okay. It is my passion to share with you different ideas and I expect full heartedly that you take those ideas and you make them your own. I LOVE hearing from you, so please feel free to reach out.
