This is my husband’s grandma’s famous side dish. We have it every family party and there are rarely any leftovers. She gave me permission to share it, but I feel like I’m giving away a family secret! It’s a nice side dish for a pot luck or family gathering because it’s something different than a pasta or green salad and it makes a lot, so it will feed a large group. Oh, and I forgot to mention that it is SO good!
Ingredients:
Salad:
1 large head of cabbage; chopped
7 green onions; sliced
3 packages of Chicken Ramen; crushed (reserve seasoning packets for dressing)
2 fully cooked chicken breasts; diced
4 heaping Tablespoons Sesame seeds
3/4 cup sliced almonds
Dressing:
1 cup vegetable oil
3 Tablespoons sugar
6 Tablespoons vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
3 Ramen seasoning packets
1. Add all of the salad ingredients in a large bowl.
2. Whisk together the 6 dressing ingredients.
3. Add the dressing to the salad.
Easy as that! Enjoy!
