How to get out of a speeding ticket: Cassie Style Let’s be honest, even the best of you little church-going folk have had 4-letter words flash through your mind when this happens to you. Like “Holy flip!” or something like that, right? I thought so. As one who has found myself in this situation on...
That was awesome! One I tried recently was quoting the law to the cop. I mighta run a slightly pink light, but it was close. So when the cop pulled me over I said, “so te statute says it’s illegal to enter an intersection when facing a solid red light…” I could see his eyes glaze over. I’m sure the defense attorney sticker in my window helped. He didn’t even take my info back to his car… 😉
Awesome! As the wife of a cop I can tell you this really WILL help you out. My poor overworked husband gets SO IRRITATED with the criers, and the angry belligerent arguers are going to get a ticket ALWAYS. LIke, NO exceptions. The truth is, officers deal with crap all day- I mean SERIOUS CRAP. And most people are unable to take responsibility for their actions. They pretend they didn’t know the speed limit, or give excuses like babies crying, etc. Be honest, admit your mistake and you will feel better- and the cop will too! It’s a great tactic Cassie. Seriously. I mean, you MAY still get a ticket, but at least you will know you got that ticket in style, without sacrificing your self respect.
Lucky stinking dog! I’ve had one speeding ticket in my life– guess which road it was on?! 🙂
Have you ever had a ticket or are you perfect so far? I actually have just the opposite record. Been pulled over more than 15 times and got a ticket every time!
Oh no Caroline! That’s the worst! I do not have a perfect record by any means. I actually have gotten ticketed 3 times. One time I burst into tears (but it was after a VERY long week), but clearly that didn’t help me at all. But I think I have been pulled over at least 13-15 times! Ugh! I get so much anxiety every time I pass a cop!! I’m sure it’s so much worse for you! By chance do you drive a black or red car? I do know for a fact that those vehicles are targeted.
Cassia you are such a lucky gal! Only 3 tickets with being pulled over that many times. I wish I had your charm lol. I do drive a black Acura and have felt I get targeted, but let’s be honest, every ticket I have received is my own fault since I knowingly drive faster than I should. I usually just hope for the best and take my punishment when I do get busted. When was your last ticket Cassia?
Caroline!! Agh, sorry, I saw your name, but then I had just looked at Sheryl’s comment. My bad. You know, I honestly can’t remember when it was I got my last ticket?? But I can absolutely remember the last few times I got pulled over!! Haha When me and the hubs were first married, we had a black Audi and I got pulled over for EVERYTHING! For 5 over the limit, for too dark of tint (multiple times for that despite the obvious fact that it was well within the legal limit), broken tail lights (that were not in fact broken at all), and once for changing lanes without signaling. Then I laughed when I interviewed the chief of police about this and he told me that black and red cars were targets!! I’ve not had nearly as much trouble since I switched to a missile SUV…guess they don’t target mom cars. Lol
