This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Burt’s Bees. All opinions are 100% mine.

I want to share with you some of the ways I make my day from drab to fab with 5 easy steps. These ideas may seem simple, and I hope that they are, because feeling fabulous shouldn’t have to be a LOT of work.

  1. Invest time in yourself every day

Often times I find that when I am most overwhelmed or down in the dumps it is because I haven’t taken the time to focus on myself in a positive way. Depending on your personality this may be taking time to have a long chat with a friend, reading a book, having meaningful meditation/prayer, working out, listening to your favorite music, or some days it can be taking a long shower. Let’s be honest, some days a long hot shower can feel like I spa day.

2. Shake it off with your favorite tunes

Music and movement can be an antidote for almost any sour mood. I like to listen to my favorite tunes in a variety of different settings to keep my cool. For example, I love to listen to music when I am cleaning the house, getting ready to put the kids to bed, driving in the car with squabbling siblings, or getting myself through mounds of laundry. Music can transform the mood in your home, choose appropriately. I think my kids stare at me in wonderment when they see me let loose, and often times before long we are all doing the boogy together.

3. Put something on that makes you feel fabulous

This could be something that only you know about like some sexy underwear, a favorite piece of jewelry, or perfume that makes you happy. It could also be your favorite pair of shoes that put a pep in your step any time you wear them. It is small changes like this that can turn your day around.

4. Have a good belly laugh

Sometimes you have to make the choice to laugh or cry and if I have the option I would always choose to laugh. Take a minute to watch some Ellen, talk with a friend who gets you and your sarcastic sense of humor, or one that you can share the mishaps of the day and know she will be able to help you find something funny about it. Even better? Find someone that you could help to brighten their day with an act of service or a laugh. I am often surprised by how easily my mood can change when I adjust my focus to the well being of someone else.

5. Put on some lipstick

I am loving the new line of lipsticks from Burt’s Bees that are made from 100% natural ingredients and will moisten and condition lips all day long thanks to a natural formula featuring Beeswax, Moringa Oil and Raspberry Seed Oil. I have always loves Burt’s Bees chap stick (it is my very favorite) so I was excited to hear you can now buy the entire line of 14 new shades of lipstick of Burt’s Bees and are Available at Target at Target!

I love these two shades: Lily Lake and Brimming Berry. View More: https://whitedandelionphotography.pass.us/mymommystylejan View More: https://whitedandelionphotography.pass.us/mymommystylejan
