Sunflower Sandwich

how to make a sunflower sandwich

I made this sunflower sandwich to put in a Plants vs. Zombies inspired lunch box, but it’s so adorable you can make it anytime. It’s pretty easy to make, but there are a few steps to follow if you want to add it to a lunch box. These steps will help the raisins (petals) not go flying all over the lunch box. Hopefully the pictures will give you a good guide to use along with the directions.

Ingredients:

Two pieces of bread

golden raisins

cream cheese

two slice of cheese of your choice (for the inside of your sandwich)

celery

a few spinach leaves

Step one: Use a large round glass as a cookie cutter make a circle with one piece of bread. Place that circle on top of the other piece of bread and cut the second piece of bread just a little bit bigger than the first circle.

Step two: Roll out the larger circle with a rolling pin or a glass.

Step three: Add cream cheese to the outside edges of your larger flat piece of bread. On the other piece add two slices of cheese (you can also add meat if you would like) make sure the cheese is the same size as the circle. Put the two slices of bread together.

Step four: Add the golden raisins to the cream cheese, pressing lightly as you go to help them stick. Add two darker raisins for eyes and a smile made out of fruit leather.

Step five: Add celery for a stem and spinach for leaves. Enjoy!
